I’m sure when I first realized that my laptop was too small for all the things I needed to do. It wasn’t until after a few years of struggling to open windows and programs simultaneously on one screen, that I finally broke down and got a second monitor.

Now this is where you might be thinking “but wait, if your laptop can’t handle it then why did you get another monitor?” The answer: because in addition to running multiple programs at once on two screens, there’s also something called ‘gaming’. That’s right! You can play games on the new screen while using the old one for other tasks like reading or writing emails. And let me tell you – it feels so good being able to see more of the game.

1. Find the game you want to play
2. Open the game on your primary monitor and open it again on your secondary monitor
3. Use a keyboard hotkey (ex., CTRL+ALT+DEL) to switch between monitors
