How to use a joystick as a mouse

If you’re like me, you probably use your mouse a lot. But what if you could use something else to control your cursor? A joystick, for example! In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to do just that. Stay tuned!

1. Move mouse cursor to the desired location
2. Press and hold left joystick button to select an item on screen
3. Release left joystick button when you have finished selecting an item on screen
4. Right-click with right joystick button to open a context menu for that selected object
5. Left-click with right joystick button to perform a contextual action, such as opening a file or editing text in a document
6. Use directional buttons at top of controller or analog sticks at bottom of controller to scroll up and down within documents, web pages, and menus.

5. Save configuration file by pressing F8, then exit program; next time you open JoyToKey it will automatically load saved configuration file if there is one available
6. Optional – create a shortcut that launches JoyToKey at startup so that it’s always ready when needed.
